Re: Which relay is this?

It's a relay that's used in a few different applications. Could be your MAF burn off relay.

Re: Which relay is this?

yeah, I couldn't remember if it was the fp relay of maf burnoff, you nailed it.. if the car wasn't in a billion pieces I could have just pulled the plug and figured it out that way.. haha thanks. Anybody know if the connector for it is still available? Oddly enough I wasn't experiencing any problems before the teardown but it sure looks melty.

I don't recall, although I do know a 91 wouldnt have a MAF power or MAF burnoff relay due to the lack of a MAF system.

Re: Which relay is this?

I am betting on maf burnoff. (Have seen hundreds of them in my years as an auto electrician) I believe NAPA has that "Socket". If not hunt the junkyards.

Re: Which relay is this?

Anyone have any luck and getting those sockets at the auto parts store?
I have three sockets with the wires pretty burned on them.

Re: Which relay is this?

On my 89 TBI I believe my fan relay is positioned there where the MAF relays were. Since I dont have MAF obviously.

Re: Which relay is this?

After messing around with mines the other night and trying to protect them with alil liquid elec tape the car started acting up and the SES came on and thru the 33 code. NOw today she has left me stranded here at work throwing 33(maf gm/sec HI) and 36 (Maf burn off). I believe i had some of the relays switched around but not understand why she drove me here without any problems besides the SES light. Got frustrated trying to figure it out and came to cool it off for awhile and re-think this. And help would be appreciated.....
