Installing wide band (summit LM-1 knockoff)
I plan on finally installing this setup, but i'm wondering how others have wired it in.
I have the bung welded into my y-pipe, right around the passengers feet area, pointing towards the center of the car (not outwards towards the wheel).
I have attached a picture of the summit setup that I have.
Circled in blue - threads into the O2 bung, so far so good.
Circled in red - plug, prefer to have this connection inside the car, so that the electronics can be inside.
So I need to use this very short run of cable, and get it into the vehicle. I think my best bet is to drill through the floor, and throw a grommet in. So i'm guessing the part circled in green is necked down for the use of a grommet. However I *think* that it does not disconnect there, so i'm not sure how i'd be sliding a ~5/16" ID grommet OVER the O2 sensor, etc.
Is this actually a plug, that i've circled in green? It's tighter than SIN if it is (and i'm afraid of breaking it...)
I'm thinking of cutting and lengthening the wires, such that I can get that electronic module under the passenger seat or something like that.
What have others done?
Thanks

I just have that red circle connector outside. The driver side just by the sub frame, and the passenger side connector covered by the plastic inner fender. Neither of my two sensors have that part circled in green, so I'd guess it's at least not a connector meant to be taken apart.
