vortec spark plugs with hookers
I hope that I do not bore you with this question if it has already been addressed. I have an 89 camaro, 350 vortec, carbed with hooker headers. We race this but it is street legal, insured and tagged. It runs low 12 consistantly, won track champ last year. We changed engines, blew the new on up and put last years motor back in. We are having the same problem this year as last. #7 plug boot burns through and the plug arcs to the header so we are running on 7 cylinders. I have an insulated high heat cloth tube to try and keep heat away that has worked but I would like to go with a shorter plug. Can any of you folks with a combination like this tell me what plugs you run that are shorter? I have heard Bosch and Accel but would love some feedback. We run Autolite 605 now. Thanks in advance for any help!!!!
