Engine stalling
I have an 88 Camaro with a carb'd 350 and a TH400 tranny. Been working on getting it driveable again. However, I am having this problem of the engine stalling out on me. It does this whenever I put it in gear, reverse/drive. Its fine in neutral however, if I manage to shift it there before it stalls. I have been told that it might be a vacuum line coming from a module on the transmission? I looked and didn't see anything that looked like that. Any help would be great!

Re: Engine stalling
Any vacuum leaks or possibly your spark timing. What did you set the distributor at?

Re: Engine stalling
I have no idea. I have it timed by ear atm. I need to go get a timing light and actually time it correctly.

Re: Engine stalling
That would be the best bet. With these cars, timing it by ear is not always the best way to do it.
