battery drained after 5-10 minutes or so of running
im having trouble just got an 86 trans am with tpi 5.0l fuel injected and after i let it run for about 5-10 minutes it kills the battery i had the alternator tested and it checked out to be ok at autozone, but i did find a positive wire that seems to go to the starter that was split at a solderless crimp and the wire was just hanging apart, its to dark out now to check that, but do u think that would cause my battery problem im going to hook it up tommorrow after the battery charges any input is greatly appreciated thanks

More than likely that wire is the culrpit, the large terminal on the starter is where GM put the "junction" for the charge wire to connect to the battery. IIRC it is a 10ga wire.
