No spark but coil is good. Suggestions?

I started my IROC yesterday but after 5 seconds it sputtered and died and now just turns over.
I checked and dont have any spark so I replaced the coil. Unfortunately that didnt fix anything. What else can cause a lack of spark that I should check?
No CEL light or codes either...
HELP!!

ok here we go, all other input welcome 1st all electrical diagnosis start's at the battery.clean terminals, good grounds, fuseable link's,fuses(ing ecm/ecu),then check recent work done to the ing system by someone else,do your best to diagnoss problem without throwing part's at it, to fix it the main goal is to find some thing suspect.belive it or not your coil may be the problem and you got a bad brand new one that's bad (i doubt it but I have seen it)when I work on my customer's car I start with the later then eliminate the maitence parts (cap rotor wire's ect).sounds like your problem happpend all of a sudden, the first thing that poped into my mind was no power to the ingnition system or a bad crank/cam sensor, not all computer sensor input,s will throw a dtc (trouble code) the pickup in the distibuter may be jacked as well,if you don't have a book for the car get one and follow the ingnition system component check's, recheck for spark using the coil wire, make sure the distibuter is still turning, check your fuel pump real quick by listening thru the filler neck while some one cranks it over you should her the whine of the pump momentaraly, another thing you can check is wiggleing the key while trying to start , you might have a bad ingnition switch.try all that first

Re: No spark but coil is good. Suggestions?

Thanks for the reply....Couple things: I havent had any work done on it recently so I can cross that out (its been a VERY reliable car) and I can definitely hear the fuel pump. I have a strong battery and the car turns over at full speed. Again, Ive confirmed that I dont have spark at the wires.
Ill check the rotor to make sure its turning. Ive also confirmed that I have power (at the wires) entering the pickup coil but havent check or replaced that coil.

replace module and check all distributer wiring. Check the pink wire from the back of the dist. to the coil for breaks/bad connections. These cars are getting old and the wires get britle and break...

Re: No spark but coil is good. Suggestions?

Problem solved! After removing the dist cap I noticed that the rotor was cracked and actually had a broken piece sitting next to it. I replaced the rotor, distributor cap and the ignition module under the rotor (total of $90 spent replacing parts) but she is running like a champ.
Luckily my wiring looks brand new and the car is unmolested so that helped in the detective work.
Thanks everyone for your advise!
