engine or tranny problem??? im clueless...

After filling up the tank at wawa I began to drive down the road like any other day... As the car shifted into second under moderate acceleration the engine started to sputter between 2000 and 2600 rpms (almost sounding like a lite mis-fire), but would eventually get out of it in the higher r's... so i pulled over - put it in park and revved it up to 4200; the engine purred perfectly with no issue were i thought there was going to be... so i put it back in OD and started back on my way... the problem is accuring in all gears except for first, even under lite acceleration... any clue what this possibly could be??? im at a loss... any help would be greatly appreciated!!

check plug wires for a loose connection or a cracked boot i like to do it at dusk so it is easier to see the arcing

was chassing the same thing for months on my LT would be fine in neutral but under load it would stutter except in the upper rpms and was horrible in 6th gear

check the FP but i would doubt that to be the issue more RPMs would make a fuel problem worse not better....

where as a intermittent misfire would be harder to detect

i found the issue... almost embarassed to say it... in the search for bad plugs on the right bank; i noticed that the plug wire from the #4 cylinder was wedged between the boot of #2 and the head... it burnt a lil hole thru it which was causing it to arc on the head (how the hell that happened i dont know)... all fixed now...
