Need problem diagnosis please!

Hi, I have an 86 camaro fuel injected 2.8 V6. The engine only has about 7,000 miles on it but it sat in the previous owners driveway for 8 years and was barely run at all during that time.
The problem is it is pretty hard to start, once in a while it will fire right up but most of the time I have to crank it for about 5 secs then it starts running like it on 2 cylinders with the service engine soon light on for a couple seconds then it finally takes off. Also I calculated the fuel millage and it is getting about 23.5 mpg and that is driven very soft. I think the V6 was supposed to get more like 25. The way I drive I was able to get 28 out of my 94 camaro v6.
It also seems really weak but it might just be because I'm used to driving my 94 3.4L camaro.

I think it might be bad fuel injectors, or maybe plugged fuel injectors. The thing is when I first bought the car it started right up, it wasn't until like the 2nd week of driving it that it became hard to start. I don't know if the inside of the gas lines can rust because it sat so long. I ran fuel injector cleaner through it but I don't think it helped much. I also changed the fuel filter twice, the spark plugs and wires and the fuel pump was changed by the previous owner. Thanks!

i would due a tune up since it sat so long but i would also take the injectors off and either clean them or replace them and also check the fuel pump since it sat so long

Yeah, I changed the spark plugs and wires, fuel filter and the fuel pump was just changed about a year ago the previous owner said. I just hope he did it right. The fuel injecters are the only things I haven't messed with.

i would take them off and clean them before you change them but u can also check and see if there getting voltage first before you take them off that could also be the problem

if the car was sitting for 8 years, i would bet that there was gunk in the fuel..check your injectors, they may very well be clogged.

Just as an update, I put some seafoam in it to get that a try and it worked wonders. After a couple drives I felt it gain power and now it starts as soon as I turn the key. It seems like it is using alot less fuel too. I still might check the fuel injectors but seafoam sure did help!
