bad starter?
got a small problem here, think it may be the starter but i figured id ask, during the summer it was 110 degrees outside and the car had a hard time starting, as soon as i would turn the key the starter would click and then everything would shut down, lights, fuel pump, everything, no response, so i would unhook the battery and try again and sometimes that would work sometimes it wouldnt, now its doing that exact same thing again, but now its freezing cold outside
also i wanted to share this, thought it was kinda funny, i was visiting my friend at his house, and hes a mustang guy, but today his car broke down and he had to get it towed to the shop

Re: bad starter?
If everything goes dead then you're losing the connection from the positive battery cable to the starter solenoid (that's where the accessory power comes from). That or the ground as you need both. I'd try cleaning both ends of both your battery cables.
