Re: NEED HELP PLEASE timing

When you set your timing did you unplug the thing thats on passenger side near hood strut. If so when you set timing thats with that unplugged when you plug it in your computer will advance the timing I set mine a 0 and its running at 12 with it plugged back in. I hope this is some help.

Re: NEED HELP PLEASE timing

Is it running bad at all or is it running good. Only thing I can think of if its running bad is to set timing a few negative degrees and if it goes back that high its just the way the computer whats to run the timing for it. Thats the only thing I can think of.

Re: NEED HELP PLEASE timing

with the EST unplugged you set your timing to specs either TDC, 6 or 10... then you plug your EST back in and your timing should advance ... only check your timing with the EST unplugged, this is the timing that is considered your base timing and is the only way to check your timing with a timing light ..

Re: NEED HELP PLEASE timing

And when you plug the EST back in after setting base timing, turn the car off, and remove the negative battery cable for 30 seconds. As it clears the computer, then when you reattach the negative cable the computer has proper timing, and adjusts it accordingly.
