Having trouble pushing my car
Put the key in the "on" position. I put it in neutral and made sure the emergency brake was off but it still only goes forward a couple inches then bounces back like it caught something. I was able to spin my wheels with them off the ground a couple days ago, why won't the car move when I push it? It was just me pushing and another guy steering. Does it really take a group of people to move this thing?
The engine is seized up.
I'm trying to get my car facing the other way because it will make using an engine hoist much easier.

I agree with above. Remove the drivesahft and it will move.

Other thoughts: Is there an under-inflated tyre that has developed a slight flat spot while sitting - hard to get 'em rolling. Nothing on the floor you are running over?

oh yeah i bet my tires could use some air. They've been sitting for 2 years. I'll get them to 32 psi and see if that works.

Filled the tires to 32 (they were around 22) and got 2 extra people and got it done. Thanks for the help.

Re: Having trouble pushing my car
I would just like to point out, with an automatic you can put it in any gear to roll it other than park because the torque converter isn't spinning to build pressure to engage the clutches inside. Useless info but there it is.
