Surging idle, stalling

Finally getting the car up and running after sitting a year. I replaced all the fuel, injectors, spark plugs and oil.

Well the car runs fine when driving but at idle the rpms vary between 500-1000 RPM and sometimes when it falls to 500 it just dies. I have to two-foot it at lights to keep it from stalling.

Ideas on where to start looking?

Re: Surging idle, stalling

I had similar problems when I was doing a full engine swap on my firebird, which sat for probably 6-8 months before being ready... but it ended up being the line to the fuel pump inside the tank. It had rotted and gotten a hole in it, might be something to check.

Re: Surging idle, stalling

That was the source of the problem with it a couple years ago. I dropped the tank then and replaced the pump and soft line splice to the hard line. I had let it sit with low fuel and that little rubber splice line split open.
