Fuel vent valve

I have finally found my problem! Now.. Here is the next problem. I can't find anyone who sells the dang thing. Chevy sells it for a 4th which I could make work, but it's $16 which I don't want to pay that much for a part I'm going to have to retrofit. I thought these things used to be like $5? Anyone know where I can buy a NEW one. I don't want to keep blowing through them. I'll even do classic industries or ricks. Just can't find it.

Also -- I know about pressure relief canisters, would it be possible to hook the hose to one of these, which are easily found?

Re: Fuel vent valve

They are a discontinued part. I couldn't find anyone selling them on line. I finally found a NOS one on ebay, but they don't come up for sale often so you may have to watch for a while. I think I paid around $25 for mine shipped.

This is for a 94' I had one that I worked on once and thought I saw it. After looking at bracket and vent they look identical if not just a little different than a 3rd gen. (Just got under my 82' and forgot that mine isn't even attached to the bracket, too much hassle and broke the last lid from being so brittle) I've also got an older GMC that has a vent similar. If I find anything cheaper I will share
