Single to dual snorkel swap
Hello all,
I am going to be upgrading from the LG4's single air cleaner to a dual air cleaner from an L69. On the single air cleaner there is a hose/tube on the underside of the inlet which connects to valve cover on on the driver's side. The dual snorkel housing, I believe, does not have a place to connect this hose/tube to. My question is this: what do I do about this hose/tube or the opening in the valve cover? From the research I have attempted to do, it seems this is some sort of breather valve but I'm not sure. I can get pictures of what I'm talking about tomorrow if they're needed. Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Single to dual snorkel swap
It does.
Everything hooks right back up, just the same as it was.

Really? Hmm... I guess it's hard to tell from the pictures I've seen. Thanks for the reply.

You Are Correct,The Only Hose/Tube On The Driver's Side That Connects To The L69 Air Cleaner Is The Heat Tube That Connects To The Heat Stove On The Left Exhaust Maniford.

Re: Single to dual snorkel swap
The L69 preheater tube is on the pass side exh man. So if yours is on the driver's side, you'll have trouble with that.
Wouldn't be too hard to fab up some kind of simple heat stove to go around the pass side one if that's the case. All it does, is close off the main ducts when the engine is cold and open up that one, thus forcing all the intake air to pass over the exh man before getting to the intake. Not a real tough thing to duplicate adequately.

Re: Single to dual snorkel swap
Oh I see now. For some reason I thought that it connected to the valve cover rather than the exhaust manifold. And thanks for the picture, I can't seem to find any that clearly show how it looks there.
