Well first official drive in years and we have an issue...
Hey Everyone today I decided to take my 83 z28 on its first official drive to work in a few years. Up until today if I have driven it it has just been around home to test things out and check temps and such. First of all i want to say it starts first time every time and idles great. Oil pressure and engine temp have always been right at normal. So I hoped on the interstate and up until about 50mph it was fine then just did not want to go anymore. Lets just say after stopping 3 times I finally got off the last leg of my drive to work is 45 and under and it was fine rest of way. I decided to go through town on the way home and right at the last part of my drive on 45mph road it started to do it again I tried to give it gas and it initially would go then bog down and it actually ended up shutting down on me. Started right up again and I was able to get home fine. Right now the first thing I am thinking is that my exhaust is plugged up somewhere as this would be the first time it has really been driven since putting on my cat-back a few years ago. Just wanted to get some incite on other things it could maybe be get me headed in the right direction thanks for any help.....

Could be a clogged fuel filter or low fuel pressure, change the filter then rent a fuel pressure tester from autozone. Is it a tpi car or speed density? When my maf sensor was on it's way out whenever I'd give it gas it would bog down unless I feathered the throttle.
