91 camaro RS vacuum line & stalling on hot days

Hey guys, I have a 91 camaro RS that runs fine in the morning and all day when it's cool or cold outside but every afternoon after sitting in the sun on hot days my SES light comes on and I have to give it gas pretty much the entire drive home or the rpm will drop until it stalls. I noticed a vac line dangling under the car near the canister on the drivers side but I can't find where it should go. The line that isn't connected goes to the valve in the 2nd pic. Any idea where thus should be connected and is this likely to be the source of my problem or more likely the O2 sensor? My code scanner is for CAN/OBD2 so it doesn't fit this car, the auto parts place I stopped at didn't have an obd1 scanner so I may just use a paper clip and see what code I get but either way I would like to figure out where to reconnect the vac line.

That vacuum line should go to the vacuum resevoir on the underside of the tray that the charcoal canister in the picture sits on. will definitely cause a stall

I traced the lines from the canister to these. Locations if that helps

That line really needs to be replaced, it was breaking into pieces in my hand but its back on for now. Seemed like it was running smoother but that could be just from the cooler temps since the sun is starting to go down. I'll know for sure tomorrow afternoon. Thanks again man. Feels good to fix both my car and my bike in 2 days without paying a mechanic or missing work to do it.

Re: 91 camaro RS vacuum line & stalling on hot days

Still ran a little rough today on the way home but that line was so brittle I'm sure there are some leaks. I stopped at two places on the way home and after the 2nd stop it ran fine for the rest of the day. I'll probably replace the lines tomorrow or this weekend and see if I still have problems. I'll have to use a paperclip to get the codes since the shops around here don't have an obd 1 scanner. Probably just take it to a mechanic at that point if I'm still having problems.

Summit sells the OBD I scanner for your car.

cool I'll check it out. Might not need it at this point though.
While checking/replacing vacuum lines I saw the line from the air cleaner to the valve cover had come loose then to my horror I saw a chunk of plastic grommet inside the valve cover(smaller of the two pieces in my hand) I managed to get it out with one of those flexible claw grabber tools and confirm it was just the one piece that broke off.
