Upcoming race: Me, A Celica, and 3-4 Mustangs
This will be friday up at the track. My freinds cars: (no grudges or anything)
2000 Celica GTS 6 Speed (VVTL-i 1.8, Injen cold air and thats all so far)
1996 Mustang GT 5-speed (4.6, all stock)
1995 Mustang (3.8, K+N Open cone, Flow40, brand new motor warranty replacement)
1994 Mustang GT Auto (all stock w. straight pipes and cats, he bought it that way, wanted a 5 speed but this was a good deal)
and POISSIBLY
a 1996 GT 4.6 5 speed (Cobra clutch, cold air, off road h pipe, flowmaster delta 3 chambers, pulleys, and I think a couple other little things, 3.27 posi)
and ME
1988 Camaro, TBI 305, 131,500 miles. 2.73 Posi rear, all new tires, headers+y pipe go on wednesday, flowmaser 80 series muffler but still all 2.5" pipe, 10" open element, fresh plugs/wires/cap/rotor.
I know these guys will all beat me, except for the 3.8 stang we're fairly close. My question is, by how bad do you think I'll be loosing? Last time up there, I was running around 16.8 but it was high humidity, no cool down after 95 mile drive to the track, on crappy old tires, and my first time ever at the track. So I'm still messing with launch (I can always hook but working on what gets if moving fastest) and stuff, and I think with the headers I'll at least be able to run low 16's if I get some GOOD runs and good air that day.

Hey don't worry, I'm well aware of how (not) fast my car is.
BTW - The auto 5.0 is hooking up a 125 shot of juice as we speak He's just putting it on for now cause he's selling the car in a couple months. I'll post everyones best times when we come home, plus we'll get so see how much of an improvment I can make as well.

wOOt! Dropped .6 off my timeslips from last time! Ran a best of 16.24 as opposed to a 16.807 best from last year!
The V8 mustangs all ran mid 15s and so did the celica. Its not the fastest track in the world, but it was a perfect night as for conditions.

I actually went up against Nick's car (Black 96 GT 4.6 5 Speed with pulleys, cold air, off road pipe, flowmasters, and cobra clutch). I beat him to the 330' but he pulled ahead by the 1/8 and we stayed at about an even distance apart. That was my best run of the night, a 16.240, to his 15.434 which was one of his better runs. He's not a bad driver either.
A guy in a black cobra kept running about 14.0, I know he at least had exhuast dunno if anything else. Shouldn't those be a bit faster than that?
Makes me wonder.... with a 3.73, chip, intake, and TBI work, I might be able to hold my own against the Stangs on the street.

Solid lifter-It ran a 16.4 with a 200 pound passenger with me and I babied it off the line due to street tires. I also have 2.56 gears in an open rear end.
