Wins/Losses Friday Night

Well, heres what went down at the track. I'd expect similar results in a stoplight race.

V8 T-Bird: Not sure what year, mid 90s. Said V8 on the side. My R/T was almost half his, .734 to a 1.497 (I'm guessing he'd never done this before, but sheesh I only have twice before this). I never saw him again other than waaaay back in my rearview. He was never even close, had about 4 car lenghts on him by the end.

V6 Grand Am GT: This guy got an even worse R/T than the guy in the T-Bird, and met a similar fate even though I ran my worst ET on that run.

So TBI guys, have no fear of these cars on the street. If you've got good exhaust you can take them.

Then I got put up against 2 LS1 cars. Great. I'm dead and I know it.

Ls1 Z-28 6 speed and Ls1 WS6 ram air: OMG. I got raped. DUH! What do you freakin expect! I beat the WS6 to the '60 and beat both their reaction times, but then they flew by me like I was standing. The Z grabbed 2nd so hard I heard the tires squeal from inside my car over both our exhausts, and heard it loud and clear. But on the street no way in hell I'da been stupid enough to try and race either one of them.

I LOVE the reaction times I get. I have gone 3 or 4 other times and last time I ran.

.549
.517
.512
.501 (The best at the track that night!!!!)
.577

Basically I owned the tree!!! I had bracket racers amazed at my consistent lights. My .577 was my worst and I was actually mad at myself for it.

Good job on the tree, and if you do good, the anouncer will rcognize it, and so will everyone else.

I raced my friend's 95 T-Bird at a stoplight, and he had half a car on me until 60. It's in really good condition though. He's beaten a Mustang or two with it. My best R/T is like .756 I've only run 3 times though. Oh yeah, don't feel too bad about the LS1's Hardrock. My very first run ever was against a 12.7 T-type that was brought in on a truck! His 1/8 mile speed was faster than my 1/4 mile. It wasn't close at all.

Well, small world it is, I ran into the guy in the black T/A last friday night. Turns out its a 98 6 Speed, and the owner was really cool.

A guy in his 69 SS (the one Camrs89 has raced before) talked him into a go. I ran for cops and they set up, and he ended up beating him by a little bit. Later on though, he raced this guy we all know in a 96 or s Z drop top 6 speed. He had him till about the top of 2nd... but then the Z went flying by him. Hmmm.... spray? I mean, if a convertable LT1 car goes flying by a lightly modded LS1 T/A..... somethings up. He's got nothing but exhaust that you can see.... the N20 is well hidden if its in there.

Car: 1984 Pontiac Firebird
Engine: 2.8l :(
Transmission: T-5 Five Speed
His 1/8 mile speed was faster than my 1/4 mile. It wasn't close at all.

I think you got a little mixed up, everyone you race is gonna have a faster 1/8 mile time than your 1/4 mile LoL

Car: 1991 Formula
Engine: 350 firebreathing inches of Small Block Chevrolet
Transmission: A 700R4 that has trouble handling the formentioned 350.
Badbird, I think you might have gotten a little confused. He said 1/8 mile speed not time. So that really wasn't close but, if you can't drive your car to the strip who cares!!!!!!!! it's not a car it's an off road vehicle .
Badbird no flame just sorting things out.

Badbird, just to clarify, his 1/8 mile speed was 87 mph and my 1/4 speed was 82 mph. It was not close at all. Maybe one day my car will be so fast it can't be driven there. Hardrock, did the 69 SS win or the T/A?

I guess I didn't ever say which one I was talkin about did I. The T/A won, but the 69 is all restored and stuff and its not the original motor. All I know about it is its a 355 w. edelbrock aluminum heads. And it sounds really nice.
