We got out of work about a hour early,So as i was leaveing and pulled up to a light,A guy i work with pulls up next to me.He has a 93-94 z-71 chevy truck,He just went thru the 350 in it about a month ago,And put in new gears and some other stuff.I didn't think nothing of it,But when the light turned green,He took off!His truck's pretty fast too for a 4 by 4!At the next light we come to i decided to power brake the car up to about 1,000 r.p.m.'s and take off,When the light turns green i gun it and get about a car length on him when i hit second the tires go up in smoke (just got the tranny rebuilt)He about pulls even with me.By third I'm steadily pulling away and i get about 5 lenghts on him before i shut down.He pulls up to me and says good race,Your car would probably be alot faster if you could get better traction,Which is true.We talk a little bit,Then we go our seperate ways.I'm about a mile from my house when this burgundy ford probe pulls up to me,I've seen this guy before,Hes got the v-6 probe,And while it does have a spoiler on the back and a somewhat loud exaust,It isn't all riced out.I didn't think he wanted to go,But he pulls up next to me and revs.I let him get about a car length on me before i gunned it,Man,This race wasn't even close,After about 6-7 lenghts,I decided to call it a night.It's been awhile since I've actually street raced,It was pretty cool.Sorry this post is so long,i just wanted to write about what happened tonight.
