Well more info on the 305 tbi would help. But from that info I'd say to tell your friend to race off the line. That would be his best chance cuz he has the torque advantage( 220 vs 255). I think he might take your friend from a roll. Of course all of this can change if either of them or modded.
And remember if your friend is in front he can stop the race whenever he wants.

Well unless the 305 TBI is modded I think the Stang has it. I have beat a couple V6 Stangs but it wasn't too big of a kill as you would think.
