Few races in my IROC and LS1

Thought you guys might enjoy some stories...

First race with the LS1:
Kid from my school with a bolt on 5.0. It's pretty quick. Headers, exhaust, intake, gears, etc...the little stuff. He's beaten my IROC from like a 35 roll (yeah, good spot) by a car or two. He won't race me from a stop cause I can launch like a king on the street (hehe yeah) and he's stick with no posi. It'd be a close race.

I'm on my way to the gym and look who comes flying by. He follows me out to a 4 lane road with little traffic. We're back and forth and we finally pull a U-turn. I'm in first at about 30 mph, he pulls up and motions for me to put my window down. He doesn't have second gear. He wasn't lying because he knows about a LS1's top end, and I heard him try to put it in second, that wasn't pretty sounding at all. I'm pacing him in third gear doing about 55-60 and he just takes off. I didn't down shift but I was even with him at the top of third, shifted to fourth and put 2 easy cars on him before I let off. Next time was from a 55 roll again, this time I'm ready. Dropped it in second...SKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT. I hate my tires (crappy all season goodyear h-rated tires). Needless to say I just walked away from him.

Boring IROC race: There's this guy around town with a lowered riced out white accord. He's constantly throwing revs at everybody. I finally got a chance to shut him up. Just got done cleaning the IROC so I was out just cruising along. I see him and pulled a U-turn. Caught up to him, followed him to a road, luckily there was no traffic. We turned left onto it, me right behind him. I hear his fart can rev up, so I stompt it. He hung with my while my car downshifted. I stopped at 60 with 3 cars on him at least. Here comes the ***** flyby! Wait, I gunned it again, and my amazing top end TPI power instantly stopped his gaining and put another few cars on him. Yay...

Next LS1 race: C5 Corvette. This was before I got my lid. Older guy (40s) with his son in the car

, yes a responsible dad. We're at a light and he looks at me, it goes green and he peels out hardcore and takes off. I didn't know he was gonna do that so I catch him. 35 roll, we gun it the same time. I jump a little because he's auto and had to downshift. Half a car by the top of first. Into second...wow...I put another half a car. Into third stays about the same, top of third and I'm now 1.5 cars ahead of him. Needless to say he wouldn't look over at me, but his son gave me the peace sign with his head hung low.

Last race: IROC vs 96-98 Mustang GT with spray. I've seen this kid down at the local 1/8 track, usually runs no time. Seemed kind of quick. Don't know what else he has done besides the spray. We're at a light, we go slowly through the intersection waiting on each other. I figured I'd take the jump cause I'd need it. Well, I gun it, he does too. I just put 3 cars on him easily. His excuse, empty bottle. Lucky me.
