That poor firebird!!!!

I was coming to school and I ended up next to a V6 4th Gen Firebird with like 17in chrome rims, Flowmaster 80 Series with no cat by the sound of it, K&N, Edelbrock, B&M and Flowmaster Stickers on the side.....well I didn't think he was going to race so just to be sure I waited just for the moment when I saw him lunge forward and just as I expected the light turned green and he gunned it....I reacted pretty fast and my car was in OD and he had about half a car when I floored it then the almighty torque monster started to breath heavily and I passed him burning the tires in 1st and when I hit second he was about 4 cars back easy....needless to say I let off because he wasn't even gaining any ground.....AARON

p.s. I also forgot to mention the New Ford Ranger Edge with a 4.0 SOHC engine and Stick Tranny that wanted to go.....we both took off from the next light slow and he proceeded to give it a little more and more throttle everytime he would see me next to him so then he finally gunned it and I mashed the throttle and left him standing.....and he pulled a ***** flyby and ran the red........oh well.....we'll see what lunch has to offer in about an hour...lets see who is gonna wanna mess around today........

WHAT!!!

That has to be one of the funniest things I have heard...well except the time a kid here at school with a N/A Talon was showing everyone in the parking lot and all of his buddies his new "turbocharger" and I walk up and people know that I race and for the most part know my SHlT.....and I asked him where the turbo was cause I didn't see one and he said right there your looking at it....and he proceeded to point to a chrome hot air intake pipe.....I nearly fell on the floor laughing and I told him this...MAN!! you have got to be kidding..that is an Auto Zone hot air intake with a wanna be K&N cone on the end...a turbocharger has nothing in relation to that metal piece of junk!!!! and everyone started to laugh and I walked back to the GTA.....AARON

First 305's now 6 cylinders!? Have you no shame!? Eh, I guess the guy was asking for it.

I saw something similar to your Talon story, except the idiot pointed to the heat shield on the exhaust manifold.

Reminds me of another scenario featuring the infamous "Double-Time Dan":

He was looking at a "Turbo 82 Nissan 280SX" or one of those numbers, I can't keep up with them too well. Anyway, it had been "bored .060 over." Correct me if I'm wrong...but doesn't that interfere with boosting?
I've seen and heard some crazy things at SCHS, my old high school. I'm fairly certain that a story will come to memory similar to the "turbo-hot air intake" thing soon.

I knew a kid who had a "405 turbo" in his RS camaro. Funny he would never race this kids 3.3 buick century, which was actually quick and modified for a buick. The century would most likely have beaten his "405 turbo" cleverly disguised as a LO3. I also pointed out the fact that chevy never made a 405. I wish he had it when I got my T/A, as that thing shouldve stomped my "weak 350".

Oh yeah? What about a 450 Big Block in a Mustang. Doofus *** **** apparantly didn't realize that it doesn't exist. This guy lied at lightning speed. He lied more than anyone that I had ever known. He made insane claims about his car. You could talk about any type of "what if" scenario...and guess what? He's done it. He didn't drive. He approached me at a store, twirling keys around his finger. Guess what? He wasn't driving his "450" car. Furthermore, after stepping out into the parking lot and surveying it with my exceptional sight...he wasn't driving-period. No, that was someone else in the driver seat of that 89 Cavalier RS. I always tried to be a friend to this guy. That's why I asked all the questions. Not to prove him as bull, which
I inadvertedly did anyway, but just with the slight hope that this guy wasn't totally off his rocker. He kind of looked up to me. I always asked if he was sure it was a 460, 427,428, 429...Well it wasn't. It was anything as far as I can figure.
Oh, and that's not the same guy as I was talking about before. This one I'll just call "Weasel" since that's what he looked like. Kind of like a blonde, extremely long-nosed Johnny Depp after his head has been squeezed with a vice. Well, maybe that's irrelevant.
Strange charactars went to that school. Actually, I think they were stranger after having gone a couple of years or more.

Speaking of "That Poor Firebird"....I got something along that line. At www.turbominivan.com
which is kind of sad...there is a race between a 1985 305 TBI Firebird and one of these turbo vans. The van won with a 15.1....
Hey wait a minute...shouldn't a TBI 305 Firebird do better than that with slicks on?

Sad, it lost horribly...
