1985 Camaro Vs T/A L98's

Well I was driving down hwy 98 when a nice looking late model 3rd gen T/A came flying by me then hit his breaks and slowed down right next to me. I was doing about 60 in a 55 it was late I get off work at 2200 I can tell he had his women in the car and he wanted to be cool Joe for about a mile he would gas It slow down get in front of me slow down im not going to race in a 55 zone when im already doing 60’s any way we hit a red light. He was revving the S#H$T out of his motor I only have about 2,000 miles on my motor I don’t want to run it to hard and blow something but this morn pist me off on his hood he had a decal said L98 350 ram air light turn green sounded like he stood on the gas. I just punched It I got the jump on him not even really getting on it to hard then he started creeping up on me then I really got in it next thing I know he is two car’s away from me the rest of the way he wouldn’t pass me. Only mod’s I could see on his T/A was a after market T/A hood, Loud exhaust it was a nice looking 3 gen T/A just a moron driving it.

It's been 2000 miles and you're still afraid to get on it?

I've always thought it was a good idea to let your rings get set in before tearing up the motor.

Be careful racing on Hwy 98. Not only are there plenty of cops to keep you in check, that stretch of road is notorious for being very slick... especially in wet conditions. I know of two people who have totaled their cars by slipping and spinning out into the median or the side of the road. Almost the same spot, too.

BTW: what color was the 'bird?

you can build the motor, idle it for a minute, then go beat the ever loving **** out of it. If it blows up, you didn't build it right.

although personally i wouldn't jump on it for at least a 1000 miles, but im just cautious.
