A del sol and a 350z want to race my 86(w/496)

Don't know much about this cars , the del sol is supposed to be super charged and the 350z might have about 287hp(like I said don't know much about this cars so the info might be off) . The 350z is a '95 the del sol I don't know. They have mentioned that they wanna race the big block . My car the last time out at the track ran a 12.4 with quite a bit of tire spin. Don't know the miles per hour since this "track" doesn't provide it. THis track is located at 4k ft above sea level. I know my car is capable of low 11's , maybe a high 10 with an upgraded rear(don't really want to hook with the 10 bolt) . If you've got an experiences with any of those cars please share your stories. Also any race that would take place would be at the track NOT the street like this fellows wanted.

Well I have raced a newer 350z before with my 91 Trans Am that just had a 350TPI. My car was pretty much all stock then. We started at a roll of about 20mph. I took him by at least one car lenght right away. I probably let off the gas at around 60mph because of traffic so I dont really know how quick they are up top at higher rpms. You will take the 350z easy and I wouldnt worry about the del sol.

If you have a 12 second car you will have no porblem with either of these two cars! Now if the DelSlow has like a completely built engine on boost and spray, he might be a competition.

But I think you got them either way!

Yep I've got a traction limited 12 sec car for now. My 9 inch is in the works , then I'll be looking to get max traction and a better e.t.

at best the 350z is a mid 13sec car, and the del sol (if it is bulit) MIGHT be a shade faster. do they know how fast you are?

The other car in the video was a early '90s mustang. As far as the guys that want a race , they do know what I am running. I am thinking their plan was to get me on the street (knowing I had no traction) . I would be shocked if they do agree to race at the track at this point.

I raced a 350z when i was near stock (l98 catback and cleaned up the plenum) and his was showroom new.

Off the line (obviously) i took him pretty hard but around 60 or so he started reeling me in and by the time we shut down (who knows the mph.. 75-80 maybe? he was coming on real strong) Wouldve passed me in the 1/4 low 14 high 13's with damn good driver would be my guess.

That del sol could be a slug or if it has the rsx engine it could run 12's.

Uhhh, they never made a 350Z in 95, its a relatively new car. Perhaps your refering to a 300zx, which can be modded to run pretty well. However, if he's claiming less than 300hp, I wouldn't be concerned. A supercharged Del Sol could be anything from a slug to a rocket, he's gonna have traction problems if he's making any kind of power you need to worry about. I wouldn't be to concerned if you easy 11's w/ traction.

Now hurry up with the slicks and 9bolt.

Guess I got the yrs wrong , the del sol could be the '95 , like I stated I don't really know much about those cars . I look forward to any race at the track as long as I think it be a competitive race, I wouldn't get much satisfaction on beating a slow vehicle. Ok, maybe a little. I know you meant a 9" instead of a 9 bolt

A stock Z you will kill...I have a 350Z.
I am a farily good driver and I hit a personal best of 13.6...

With a few mods on the Z though they can FLY so watch yourself....Be sure its stock...
The Delsol you will kill off the line...they weight NOTHING so that would be the one I would concern myself with...

A supercharges RSX-S motor fits really nice in there....

well the newer 350z's have about 300HP and are deffinately 13.5 sec cars in the 1/4, if its a 95' it would be a 300zx and some of those come twin turbo and are quicker than a stock l98 car, but if you're in the 12's and got the power for 11's i dont think you will have problems with it even if it was slightly modded. del slow...woudlnt worry about that thing at all, most likely wont hook with the power it has or wont have enough to keep up. should be wins all around. If you can, find out more about the cars and we could probably make more accurate predictions!

That was BONeESTOCK even to the stock tires...
That thing really moves once it gets going...

Also it is a manual, you get alot more power with the 6spd
I run consistent 13.8's though,, that was my BEST run.

If it is a 300ZX, and it is a 95 your Toast....
A friend has one with about 2000 in it and it runs 12.2..with stock turbos...spinning like mad off the line
