'86 Sport Coupe Vs. 99+ Mustand GT 'Vert
Friday night I found a 99+ Mustang GT Convertible that wanted to play some. He seemed stock, no noticable exhuast, automatic transmission. We ran from a roll twice, once in second at about 30mph, and the other from about 10mph in first. Both times I gave the Mustang the hit, and both times I pulled right along side and then ahead of the Mustang. I would have really liked to run from a dig at a light, but it didn't work out. I'm sure the Vert Auto is the slowest of the 99+ V8 cars, but I was still pleased to beat him with the 15+ year older technology.

Heads and a bit more cam would really take advantage of an otherwise good breathing combo. Maybe next year... althought it seems like I say that every year.

I've always wondered what kinda times those 4.6/auto stangs run (0-60 and 1/4 mile)? I was always under the impression that they were dogs. I know I don't have the gears (and still have my 118mph speed limiter) but I'd like to think I could give one of those 4.6 autos a run for its money...what do you guys think? (sorry for the hi-jack...I just dont think its worth me posting a whole topic about it )
