What a joke. I'm glad SRT races their car with different tires. GM should do that with the ZR1 lol

Imagine 707 hp in a Thirdgen. Pretty sure it will do better than 10.8

Re: 10.8's and 707 hp

I think it's great that the manufactures are in a HP war again. I just wonder when the govt. will step in and put a stop to it. I already seen $2600 gas guzzler tax on a new Camaro. At least the technology gained will benefit car guys for their builds.

It is pretty cool to see the rivalry going like it is.

I'd rather have a C7 too but would be dissapointed gettin drug by the Hellcat at the drag strip or on the freeway.

The way I look at it $51k(C7 base price) + $8k supercharged = 800+HP and goodbye Hellcat!!!

Either way 60k is a hell of a bargain given it's performance and warranty. Wonder what this means for the next gen Viper?

My 3rd gen went 127mph with 550hp, so low 10's at 135+ easy.

A C7 being lighter than a 3rd gen would probably need a bump up to 525hp to keep pace - essentially bolt-ons and a tune. Needless to say, it would cost about the same as the Dodge, have superior handling, braking, and mileage. Only thing you wouldn't have are 2 rear seats.

Re: 10.8's and 707 hp

Sounds like dealer allocation is going to be super slim I bet these wont sell for a penny under 80k by the time they are done marking them up

10 secs with warranty and (yes) can handle other than I cant afford it think for the money they are a friggin bargain.

I agree with the hp war statement. Been going on for many yrs were fortunate to be right in the middle of it yet there will always be someone to pick them apart. It will come to an end sometime enjoy those toys now...

I remember the disappointment of new Camaros and Vettes coming out every year with the same crappy smogged out motors and some lame-o decal package. This stuff out today plain rocks. ILl have to spectate though with my shallow pockets lol. I think the people that can afford them wont care what any associated costs are they got it.

Waiting to see if they sell the motor in a crate package and see someone stuff it in something light and older. Talk about sleeper status

there are already dealers guaranteeing the 60K price tag, soif a dealer tries to charge more then that tell them to stuff it and call up one of the other dealers that isnt marking the car up . from what ive been reading they plan on building alot of these cars
