anyone know anything about a ford 352

a friend of mine just dropped by to show me a 68 or 69 ford truck with a rebuilt ford 352 motor in it. at first i was thinking 351 but he swore the guy he got it from said it was not a 351 but a 352. the motor is pretty stout, it will get the 4000+lbs truck to outrun a stock 90 5.0 mustang, but still wont mess with the iroc. btw, the truck has a 3 speed stick shift, is the bellhousing bolt pattern for a 302/351 the same as this 352? he was wanting to put an automatic in there and i was thinking he should beef up the transmission out of a early 90s 351 F-150 with a converter and shift kit, if it will bolt up.

I've never heard of a 352, 351 I have. Not to say it doesn't exist.

i was thinking the same thing but i just did some reading. evidently, its a big block (i thought it looked big in the engine compartment). its called a FE big block produced in the 60s and 70s. it made in 336, 352, 360, 390, and 428 i believe is what it said. they all used the same block, just different bore and stroke.

I have a 352 in my 65 meteor, i guess they are decent motors, it pulls the 4000 plus lbs car up to speed pretty good, but its nothing to brag about. Alot of them came from the factory with 4 barrels in the cars to keep up with the 390s

To get a 352ci from a ford block, Put a 3.5 inch crankshaft in the 302 block, (4 x 4 x 3.5 x pi x #of cyl / 4)= 352

Car: 1993 Ford Mustang
Engine: 5.0L
Transmission: T5
The 352 was part of the FE engine family. It's a small displacement big block that shares the same block as the 390, 427, and 428. They were built between 1958 and 1966 and ranged between 220 to 360 horsepower and made good torque numbers as well. It has a 4.00" bore with a 3.50" stroke.

Don't forget about the Cleveland! 351 cubes, and big block heads. Finally got to see my buddies 66 Mustang. 351 clevland, 4 speed toploader and it runs mid 13s or so...ran low 11's with a different set of heads and 4.55 spools. Had to detune it so he can drive it on the street....

so to make this thing a FE 428 all we would need to do is overbore and put the 428 crank, rods, and pistons in right? also, anyone know anything about what transmissions bolt up to this block. he has a factory 3 speed and it just doesnt cut it on the highway.
