I found this post on a site I thought you might get a kick out of. Seems someone has a real beef with 3rdgen owners...

Wow, I read that article. This guy has a serious problem with third generation owners. He makes everyone of us sound incompetent from a few odd-ball remarks he has heard. Wait, this on the site for upgrading TBI. Hmmmmm...

After poking around there- what exactly is the point of the whole site? (Which apparently hasn't been updated since Oct. 2002)?
Either way, I love guys talking smack when they themselves seem a bit short on the "technical" side of things. Methinks that genius should actually have to rebuild a carb, modify it to work in an extreme non-stock application and then tell us how carbs are for those with grade 2 educations while them "hy-tek" EFI guys are so knowledgeable and require higher education to make their EFIs run properly. One day I think I'll go buy a 4th Gen and a $200.00 laptop just to play "EFI tuner" and tell guys like this to go suck a lemon. Sadly- most "tuners" I've met are actually far less technical than most carb. guys.

Another point that this person failed to see about swapping from EFI to carb is that once an EFI system gets old and you have to start replacing injectors and sensors, it gets friggin expensive. I suspect this is also a reason that alot of people switch to carb. Not to mention diagnostics can be alot easier than playing lets replace the sensor......

It is obvious he was a member here, and got banned or something. It' really funny how he repeats himself like 20 times within that crap he has written. Must be some 18 year old punk with nothing but time on his hands.

You guys read the fine print on the rest of the site?
"You have somehow reached the domain of BLACK ECHO, also known colloquially as 'the Dark One', and the domain otherwise known simply as 'goingfaster'. How you got here isn't important, simply the fact that you are here is all that matters. Call it luck, call it fate, call it what you will, but something brought you to my domain and that much you have to accept as truth. You are here, now, so you might as well accept it."
Im assuming "here" means his parents basement.

Come on guys, I found that entertaining.
I ripped out my TPI and installed a carb...
does this mean I'm un-educated and slower? :lala:

That's Black Echo's site. He's probably the least respected person to ever touch a car.
He LOVES tbi like it was his own design, or was possibly sent to us from the gods to enrich our lives with copious horsepower.
He's one of the reasons that I stopped visiting the TBI forum.
It seems like every second week, some newbie would dig up his site and say "look d00ds! i found a greet site wit lots of info on how to make tbi horsepowers!!!"
If you read through the rest of the site, you'll find that Eric is pretty much right. He's light on the tech info, and is only interested in writing REALLY emotional stories about TBI.

So how much money did Ford invest in engineering time to develop 28hp over a 40 year old design?
