That's pretty good Nick.
What did you use as a polishing compound?
How long did it take you to do?

Nice but it looks like a lot of the vanes are closed off - is that just in the picture?
Did you install a 17" or 18" flex fan ??
I just put one on a couple of weeks ago and I'm wondering if I should have went with an 18.

Those vanes aren't closed- there's a couple of push marks but the majority of the non see-through areas are because the vanes aren't all exactly straight in-line with one another- so when looking at angle "x" you can see through some, but have to look at a slightly different angle to see through others. Very common on rads- although having them all totally perpendicular to the side tanks would be nice.
You have a bit too much free time on your hands Nick? I don't know too many people who pull their rads out just to polish them. It is nice and shiney though.

Well guy's first of all the job was very simple I used the Mothers Billet Metal Polish & my little Dremel Rotary Tool, Total time was 4-5 hours.
I also used to have an 18" electric single fan in the front for extra cooling and the flex fan that runs off the water pump, now I will delete the flex fan & the single electric fan for a dual electric, so that means that I'm selling the single electric if anyone is interested.
About my free time and pulling the rad out to polish it...no it just came across to me to do it because my motor is sitting at the speed shop waiting to get installed back in and the car is still at the body shop where I did a complete paint-job inside out, underneath, engine bay and all!
