Car won't "fast idle"
When I start up my car in the mornings it won't "fast idle" anymore. It used to idle around 1500 RPM for a few minutes when cold, now it just idles at the normal idle speed at start up. How do I get my fast idle back?

Brian,
There is no "teach" procedure on a TPI engine as there is on the V-6 MPFI systems. If the IAC is clean and operating, and the throttle minimum air adjustment is correct, that is all you can do. Did the problems start with the change to the SLP EPROM? Target idle RPM at a given temperature is controlled by the EPROM tables.
If the system was working correctly before with the SLP EPROM, you might want to check the CTS signal. The target idle RPM is heavily influenced by the coolant temperature reading. If everything there is normal, you should check into the IAC operation and TPS voltage.

Thanks for the help Vader and 305sbc!
The prom has been in for a few years now, so I don't suspect that. I will however re-check my minimum air and TPS, since they were messed with when my MAF was acting up. I will also check resistance in the CTS. As far as the Cold start valve goes, it's hooked up and working properly. The car fires right up in the morning, it just doesn't idle like it used to.
