? about afpr

i'm wondering. to any one that has seen a afpr. do you think it is possible to put a bolt thru the stock fpr cover to make it adjustable? is there some sort of seal around the bolt or is it dry in the part where the bolt is. thanks for the help.

I actually did this, and somehow,someway, It bent the piston in the FPR diaphragm so now I need a new one. I'm afraid if I buy a new one it'll do the same thing so I'm just going to buy an AFPR that comes with a diaphragm and everything. It's only like 70 bucks.

You need to be careful with that page from Mike's site - it isn't the latest version.

That page doesn't have the warning about selecting the correct ball size, or the option of using a flat metal disc instead of the ball. There has been a lot of trouble with people selecting the correct ball size for their regulators, and the disc may be the better way to go. It seems that Rochester may have altered the regulator design through the years, and while mine worked well with a steel ball, many have not.

Anyone that's swapped to an aftermarket AFPR, please Email me. I want to get a few of these together to make one of my own as well as perhaps check into any changes made between the years.

Does anyone have any knowledge about what for sure will/won't interchange between the years? Or ar they all interchangeable for the TPI cars throughout the years?
