I have a 62 Nova with a 350 TPI unit I put together. Everything is 87 5.7.. I am getting a weird code for the MAF sensor. Its a code 33. When I have my scanner hooked up "tech I" I can read the "Mass Air Flow" rate in g/s the next line is "Airflow" its also in g/s. When the code sets the "Mass Air Flow" will continue to read the value of the sensor but the "Airflow" will be stuck on a number usually around 47 g/s. I have replaced the MAF sensor 3 times and all 3 have acted the same. I am now leaning to a ground or short.. The code will not always set at the same time. Usally it would set at hwy speeds above 2000 rpm.. now it will set under 2000 rpm. I have checked all my grounds on the wire harness Ihooked them to one of the fuel rail bolts under the plemtimn, I have a ground from the left head to the master cyl, and one from the right front of the block to a cross member..

Any ideas???

Mitch

have you replaced the MAF burn off and MAF power relays?its a good place to start...99% of MAF troubles are solved by replacing the relay(s)
