10243880 -with 87 350 tpi

im new to all this sooo
will this 87 tpi set up work on this block (10243880)
with the vortec heads
or what willl i have to do to make it fit like other heads

Axle/Gears: 3.42:1

stock base will not fit vortec

You'll need to replace the manifold base to use the TPI on Vortec heads. Check out SPDC, Edelbrock, ASM and Accel. You can plan on spending $300 to $400 on one of these unless you get a deal on a used one.

Some folks have modified the stock base and/or the Vortec heads to work together. You may want to do a search on that.

isnt the ports to big on the vortec or am i thinking about fast burn heads

vortec has taller ports

Yes. The ports on the Vortec are taller. The stock base manifold will not match the Vortec ports that well, but some people have made them work. Its not my reccommendation though. I would buy the aftermarket base.
