The stock ls1 injector is shorter than a regular TPI/LT1 injector. The easy answer to your question is no. But if you are desparate like I was and had to use them, you could grind down the posts that the fuel rail sits on to lower the rail. Since the ls1 injectors don't use the same clips, you have to make the fuel rail press down on the injector in the intake. This also opens up more problems. You can't tighten the rail until the runners are installed. The other thing is they do flow a bit more so your tune might not be perfect anymore. Thats about it.

The LS1 injectors come in 2 styles, a 28 pound and a 25 pound. The 28 pounds are rated at 4 bar, not 3 so they'll only flow 25 pounds at your stock fuel pressure setting, the 25 pounders are probably closer to 22 pounds. If you use a dremel cut off wheel you can go around the LS1 injectors and make them fit the clips on the TPI fuel rails, and there won't be any interferance with the spray pattern just because they're up a little from where the factory injectors sat. Now for your driveability problems with the injectors, you probably have the 28 pound units that flow 25 pounds, and have a table for a 21 pound injector (or 19 depending on if you have a 305 or a 350). You need to change you injector constant over to get it to run right. Once that's changed over your car should be better than it was with the old injectors.

thanks for the response im running a 383 with 22lb program. the fellow i bought them from used em on his stock '90 350 tpi and he told me it was a stock program. now mine are gray and was told from a 2000 vette. i think my pump is also crapping out at only 30 lbs. my homemade afpr will not raise pressure.thanks again.

If they're from a 2000 they should be the smaller injectors, the larger ones were the older ones. There's a few threads on here about LS1 injectors and flow rates. Also is your FPR changing pressure with throttle? Mine bent the shaft and I couldn't do a thing with it, I went back to a stock one and called it a day, the Walbro runs about 50psi anyways.

actually the shaft on my first regulator did bend and now im afraid this one will too, so i did not tighten the bolt too much and left it at 30.
now the injectors are to be 22 lbs on a 3 bar map.....28 on a four bar if iremember.so on a tpi these should work. im gonna search for vacum leaks. and ill post tues.any mor info is really appreciated.

I believe we went through this topic about 1.5-2 years ago. The problem was that SLP was accidentlly marketing and selling the injectors for the LS1 for a L98 and LT1. Problem is is that they are not rated the same way the LT1 and L98 injectors are. they also are a little shorter. Many people went ahead and bought them; including myself. Some people ground down on the fuel rail beam, and others did not. Nobody had any real problems though once they tuned them. If you did not tune them though, you can have problems. You do not need C-clips for them, I have used them for 2 years now with no C-clips and 0 problems. Just make sure that you start to seat them in the fuel rail first.

Yours should flow around 21 pounds at the fuel pressure you're running. You really need to get that fuel pressure back up around 45psi. It will run out a little rich. Right now your car should run great with them. It is a 350 is it not?

IT IS ACTUALLY A 383 STOKER. SOMETHING IS UP THOUGH , IT RUNS CHOPPY THE SAME AS WHEN MY WIRES WERE BURNED. SO IM CHECKING THE PLUGS FOR FOULING. MY AFPR WONT RAISE SO PERHAPS A NEW PUMP IS DEFINATELY NEEDED. MY LAST ORIGINAL SET OF INJECTORS HAD TWO BAD ONES AND POSSIBLY LEAKING...I HOPE THE PLUGS ARE ONLY FOULED ...I WENT THROUGH IT ALL AND STILL SEARCHING FOR VACUM LEAKS,UNPLUGGED CONNECTORS, ETC. ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE VERY WELCOMED AND ILL POST RESULTS........I GOTTA WATCH MY SON AFTER WORK SO ILL CHECK WHEN HE SLEEPS.

The LS1 26.5#/hr injectors flow 22.5#/hr in our 3rdgen cars, likewise, the 28.5#/hr LS1 injectors flow 24#/hr in our cars. No tuning is required or even really needed since the flow rates match up to our cars, especially the 26.5s.

However, as stated above, the LS1 injectors are shorter by about 0.1". Therefore, in some cases, a fuel leak may occurr, unless the top of the fuel rail posts are ground down.

Or the injectors are notched so the regular clips fit
