SQUEAL
I have a 1987 5 speed Z28 TPI. I was wondering if anyone had an idea why when i rev my engine above about 4000 why it would squeal? We just replaced all the belts and used emery clothe on the accessories but yet it will still do it, we even tightend the belt as much as we could with out haing to much tension. I hope someone has an idea of what to do. Thank you

Re: SQUEAL

it could be that one of the pullies is out of alinement.
do you see any wear on one spot of the belt when you take it off?

Re: SQUEAL
Well we looked again and it doesnt seem to show any wear. But we just noticed that the one of the belts we bought, they gave us a belt for a 1.6liter toyota motor.... and its a different belt pattern than the rest, could the toyota belt not be right for the pullies?
We bought em from kragen...lol nice screw up on thier part and a big screw up on not noticing it till now haha.
