fuel pressure

Ok,this will hopefully be the last post for awhile. I am not sure what i should set my fuel presure at, i put a new adjustible regulator on it. My motor has vortec heads, headers, edelbrock hi flo intake, big mouth runners,flowmaster3in, a chip, ram air, and a msd 6al box.I don`t think it would matter but i am also running 3.73`s

Re: fuel pressure

somewhere around mid to high 40's psi . You will have to do some trial and error to find what works best for you ( dyno )

Stock fuel injectors? Start with 46-47 PSI.

I would have to agree with these guys. Scanning it would also tell you what you need.

Re: fuel pressure

All they do is change a couple of minor things. A ballpark guess. Add a little spark advance. If you're lucky they'll change a little in the fuel tables. All in all not much.
You should burn your own. This way you can make it custom to YOUR engine and not just have a chip that'll kinda work for 100's of engines. Your engine likes what it likes. Doesn't mean your engine and combo is gonna like exactly what Joe Public's engine likes.
See what I mean?

Re: fuel pressure

Are the pressure numbers above given with the vac line disconnected from the regulator with the car at idle?

Yes, you'll want 46-47 psi with vacuum disconnected at idle.
