What kind of adapter and hoses do I need in order to plug a fuel pressure gauge into the shrader valve on the fuel rail of my 91 305 TPI?
I looked at some fuel pressure gauges at summit, and was thinking of getting this thing:http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Does anyone have better suggestions?

That gauge would be fine if left outs of the cabin. Otherwise use electric gauge if you want it inside.

Don't buy that gage, had one and it would not keep a steady pressure reading. Bought a Autometer with a mounting pod and used SS braided line and fitting required by the gage. Picture of mounting location.

Do you have any problems with the gauge when it comes down to fuel leakage? I would be very much interested in installing a gauge permanently. Do you have a recommendation on what gauge to get and what size fittings and braided lines to get?

That is a Autometer gage and I have no problems with any leaks since the install in 2002. Sorry it been too long since I bought those items, I can not remember the sizes.
Everything was purchased at Sumitt.

I'm investigating the plumming too. As far as I can figure so far, Most gauges have 1/8-27 npt male threads and the fuel rail schrader valve is -4 an male. That's a flare fitting or AN standard developed by the Air Force/Navy. The Schrader valve unscrews from the rail and that's an even smaller thread/Male I'm guessing -2 AN but not sure. Basically a 1/8" npt female to -4 AN female would be needed, but so far Can't find one. Could get -4 AN female to 1/8 male and then get a 1/8 to 1/8 coupler. If I find out what the exact size of the small schrader valve end is I'll post that. Would be cool if we could get 1/8 female to -2 AN male and remove schrader. If someone knows, please tell or I'll reply if I find out myself. BTW if conecting to the top of schrader valve, don't forget to remove the valve. It's the same valve that's in a tire so the same valve removal tool will work also. Can get the tool at any bicycle or autoparts store. It just unscrews from the center.

I was able to find a 1/8" 90 degree female to male. Then I found 1/8" female to -4an male adapter. Then I got a -4an female to female with swivel. So the gauge sits at a 90 degree and I can swivel it to face where I want. I got the parts at a local "mom & pop" hardware store in St.Clair Shores Mi. "Gilberts hardware". Love that place!! Only cost $8.00 at the most. And I can leave it on all the time with-out worring about the flex line or where to mount it. So you might be able to get your parts locally. Thats just my experience!!!
