The ZZ4 should work well and require much less modification and adjustment.
If you're going to do some head porting and other cylinder head modifications to allow and take advantage of higher lifts and a higher power band, along with custom tuning, then the hotcam should be better.

i have someone trying to sell me a cam that is supposed to be 191/196 418/430 111 and is calling it an lt1 lt4.
that is really mild - and i cant find it on any chart. ever heard of it?
thanks.

" 191/196 418/430 " looks close to the B-bODY lt1 cam, but I would have to look it up to be sure
If staying a LTR I would be more apt to suggest the ZZ4

That cam doesn't ring a bell but it looks like typical stock GM for a 350.

Re: zz4 cam or hot cam
If you have a L98 then i cant see the point in all the work involved to just swapover to a ZZ4 cam.
Sure its an improvement, but not much of one, especially considering the expense and the labour involved.
Much more worthwhile to save for a better set of heads and then
it would be worth the effort, (with a larger cam of course)
