Re: tpi breather vaccume thingy!
What color is the vacuum thingy? It's been awhile since my car was stock. Use google pics and send a link when you find it. Look up TPI firebird or something. If I see it, I might be able to help. I need more info before I can help. To you have a hose that comes off the intake manifold that goes to the PCV? Is that intact? Do you have the heater control valve still? I need help to help you.

That vacuum nipple goes to the brake booster. For future reference the thing you are calling a breather is known as the plenum.

Re: tpi breather vaccume thingy!
so whats supposed to connect the nipple to the booster? a hose? cause apparently whatever it is.....its missing on my car. and would that be the cause of the brake pedal being hard to push?

Just don't put on any old 3/8" hose. It might collapse on itself and you'll lose power assist.
Buy hose specifically made for power brake vacuum boosters.

Re: tpi breather vaccume thingy!
See, look at all the replys you got after you get a picture up there? It really does help. Yeah as far as your brakes feeling like you can't pust the pedal down, that is why. Your car should run but it will not be able to stop very easily. Use goodyear hose for that connection and get some clamps over the ends so that doesn't come off. Most connections on the car are important but that one is life threatening. Tell us if your car runs and brakes easier now. There might be something else up but that should be what's wrong.
