305 cleanup
I have been told conflicting opinions on "upgrading" a 305...where upgrading in this case is mostly interested in a slightly increased lope in the idle and improving the idle sound of the car. One tells me I could do a new cam & lifters and there is a chip to accomodate it and a second tells me the 305 is maxed out & can't do much with it.
I looked for almost an hour on thirdgen.org and could not find anything on this...thx!

Re: 305 cleanup
None of the stock 305 configurations delivered in thirdgens were "maxed out" in any way, there are lots of improvements that can be made.

Re: 305 cleanup
Thanks....What would be recommended to improve the idle sound of the car? Prefer not to tear up the computer...maybe a chip change with a cam change?
