Extended crank on cold start, pulse injectors?
Hope I can explain this right. 89 TPI that has always been hard to start when cold. Cranks over 8, 10, 15 revs before it lights off. I can hit the starter for a few seconds, wait, hit it again and seems to start a bit quicker. Fed up. So question is, can I put a momentary contact switch to a couple relays and give the injectors a ground signal when starting to give the engine a shot of gas? Would this grounding affect the ECM? Will the injectors handle the full current for a couple seconds? Any other ideas? Don't want to go carb. Thanks.

Sorry, I was looking at your profile year 88, 89 the ecm must see 8 DRP and a rpm signal of 400 or higher to enable the injectors on startup. check your prime fuel pressure and condition of your up coil, magnetic pole for cracks and icm connections.
