89 tpi Iroc egr Vacuum solenoid

I need some help. I am trying to reassemble an 89 Iroc tpi 305 originally.( a lot of missing pieces) so I learned on this site about the egr vacuum solenoid. I go buy it and after a lot of reading. I understand what it does and where it goes but my problem is I cant find the electrical connection on the car. I have no more wires left to hook up. So my question is am I wrong on thinking this car uses the egr vacuum solenoid and if I am wrong where do I hook up the vacuum lines from the throttle body and egr valve?? Please Help!!

It uses it for sure. Check back by the pass side left of distributor by the firewall. It's got to be there hanging.

Does anyone know what what color the wires are that connects to the egr soleniod? I found a wire but it has a different connector then the one I bought.

Not off hand. Go to Austinthirdgen.com and pull up your year of car wiring. That solenoid has been discontinued for years. But a 95 Caddy Seville or Deville solenoid works for these. But....you have to change the connector and bracket.
