How much does a 10 bolt rearend weigh?
Just some curious questions about weight. If anyone happens to know ... How much do the following weigh?
Stock 10 bolt rearend
Stock (91-91) 10 bolt disc brake setups
Stock (91-92) 10 bolt drum brake setups
Stock (88-90) 9 bolt B/W rearend

from my experience they all seem to weigh about the same, so far ive had a 9-bolt disc, 10-bolt drum, and a 10-bolt disc, all of these were from 87 IROC`s so they had iron drums, or iron calipers, id guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 175-200lbs,
As for the later model rears with either aluminum drums or aluminum calipers, id guess they would be 15-20lbs lighter, maybe?
this weekend when i go to pick up my rear end from the machine shop ill try to get it weighed.
