ATF leak at transmission speedo cable?

I've had a leak ever since I bought this car last fall so I cleaned up everything so that I could tell where it's coming from. It looks like it's coming out of the part where the mechanical speedo cable connects to. It's coming out where the silver two prong fork is holding something.

Is there a seal in this location?

Thanks

Joe

Well I started to remove everything so that I could get a new o-ring for the speedo gear housing and I noticed something. The housing is all messed up. It's real brittle and it's crumbling into many pieces. DOH! No wonder it's leaking!

Ok, I need a new speedo housing or sleeve, whatever they call this thing. Of course, nobody stocks this type of item so I'm just going to order it from rockauto.com, gmpartsdirect.com or somewhere. I just need to know what to get. So far I think I need this part.

ACDELCO # 12338069

RETAINER, SPEEDO DRVN GR SLEV w/4-SPD A/TRANS(MD*)

???????
Is this what I need?

Part where the metal fork holds in and the speedo cable screws onto.

Thanks

how many teeth are on your driven speedo gear? I have a sleeve if it's 41 to 45 teeth.

I'm confused, do I need a sleeve or a housing? Or is that the same thing?

I need the platic part that the retainer holds on and where the speedo cable threads onto. I've seen other posts where others have bought a new one and it was aluminum.

not 100% on the 700-R4 / TH350-C gears, but I know that I have pulled 200-4R parts with a steel sleeve / gearshaft combo, and plastic sleeve / gearshaft combo. Not mixed. If you have a plastic gear, plastic may be the way to go.
