New Tci Servo
has anyone seen or purchased TCI's new Jumbo servos for there 700r4...They have them for 2nd and 4th gear..i was just wondering if they are worth 100 bucks they say its has 35% more apply area than the vette servo soo i imagine that is good....do u think its work the 100 bucks to do that to my tranny

I agree. When a huge servo is used, sure it increases the apply area, which gives a hard 1-2 shift, but come time for the 2-3 shift, the servo is now slower to release because the 3rd apply oil has to push that servo back against that larger area and move the correspondingly larger volume of oil to release the band.
So that nice hard 2-3 shift that the new servo gave you is really the transmission being in 2nd and 3rd at the same time momentarily. Result - bye bye 3-4 clutches.
I'd listen to probuilt and do some searching - he is one of the most knowledgable poeople about the 700 I have come across.

I use the .500 main boost valve & a .296 intermediate/reverse boost valve. These have worked well in all of my 10 & 11 second transmissions. I see no reason for running the extreme boost valves, as they raise line pressure beyond what is needed/required. I carry everything that you need. Give me a call? 800 7763288 anytime past 12 noon PST.
