4th gen pedals work in a 3rd gen ?
i will be swapping over to a 5 speed soon and i was wondering if 4th gen pedals would work for the swap?
IIRC the 3rd gen and 4th gen slaves are different from each other, correct me if im wrong

Slaves are different.
I put all 3 4th gen pedals in my 86. I got all 3 pedals in the car in one piece, just had the gas pedal go over the top of the column.
I took them back out since I loaned my brother my T56 for a few months when his Auto blew up.

no....you run the proper setup for a t-5, heres the difference the 3rd gen pedals sensors are different connections but you can change them out they fit right in, screw i should say, on the top bolt hole you have to lengthen the hole it takes a few times in an out to get it right, and also you have to enlarge the booster bolt holes. and one more thing if your using a t-5 master its not gonna sit on the pedal eye rod properly as the one for the t56 is alot skinner so there will be play in it, compared to the 3rd gen its fat,
thats why with a t-56 no mickey mouse bs of removing the plastic bushing and having slop in 3rdgen pedals,
bottom line doable but use 3rdgen pedals for a t-5, and 4thgen pedals for a t-56
