Tranny shift points
Two weeks ago I brought my 1985 Z28 305 TPI to a tranny shop because it wasn’t shifting into 4th gear. The guy said that it wasn’t shifting because the speedo cable was broken. He replaced the cable and the tranny shifted fine so I had him do a tranny flush and service, set the TV cable, install a .5 boost valve, a corvette servo, and a shift kit. When I picked up the car, the tranny shifted pretty good. After a couple of days, the shift from 3-4 went from shifting at 35-40 mph (2000-2500 rpm) to shifting at 55-60 mph (3500-4000 rpm). The guy at the shop said that there was nothing wrong with the tranny. What can I do to bring the shift back to the 35-40 mph range? The tranny is from a 1986 Caprice with a 305 motor.

Yesterday, I had to take a small trip. I drove 400 miles round trip. About half way through the trip, the transmission started acting funny. If I slowed down at all, the tranny would down shift to third and hold it for a while then shift back into OD. As I stated before, the tranny is from a 1986 caprice. Would it help out anything if I put the valve body from my original tranny into my now one?
