ok i have my flywheel and clutch and everything assembled but when i try to put the transmission on to the motor it stops about a half inch from meeting not matter how much i wiggle it and push on it it just wont go on what is my problem?

did you align the clutch disc wth an alignment tool? if you bought a new clutch kit, it should come with one. also, it's easier to put on a tranny (if you don't havea tranny jack) with the bellhousing attached, because it gives you an extra hand hold and allows you to hang tha tranny on the dowel pins.

I suspect that it's hanging up on the pilot bearing/bushing. As stated the alignment of the clutch is critical so you needed to use that tool for the install. Also I always fit the disc on the tranny just to be sure it fits, same with the bushing. Anyway, pull the trans back out an put a very small glob of grease on the bushing to make it go in easier. Also most bushings have an in and an out, the out side is taperred a little so that the trans slides in easier, if it's backwards, it's no big deal it's just a bigger PITA to get the trans in. Also make sure the bushing is installed all of the way. If you've done all of that and the tranny is in place and you know everything is good (disc facing the right way?) then you still might have an alignment problem, Those plastic alignment shafts are OK, but I use an old input shaft (I think they work the best). So, again if you know it's all perfect, then, while you support the trans have a buddy lightly tap on the clutch pedal, this will release the disc and allow you to push it all of the way in. (If alignment is the problem).
DO NOT, repeat DO NOT force the tranny in with the bolts, if it's slightly mis aligned it will damage the disc, use the pedal method.

i got it in it was hanging up on the pilot bushing but i got it in there now i just have to find a crossmember
