t-5 clutch, what clutch are you using?
i am about to change the clutch in my 1991 trans am gta. it has a 305 tpi and of course t-5 5-speed. i noticed alot of people have t-5s here so i just wanted to see what clutch everyone recommended. its a daily driver that has a few minor bolt ons, small cam, complete intake(accel base, slp runners, ported plenum). i dont want a real stiff pedal but i want something that will hold up at the track. i was leaning towards the centerforce dual friction but i wanted other peoples opinions and recommendations before buying it. thanks, jamie

Thats the one
That I use / used.
It drove my 91Z with 350 ci and 300 hp & 400 lbs/ft torque. Thought it was great.

Me too. I used the Centerforce Dual Friction behind my stock 305 and it was perfect. I now have it behind a dyno proven 400HP 355 with a 4.10 rear and it is still great. Nice positive feel, no slipping, and the pedal is soft enough that I can drive it around town all day. Great choice in my opinion.

I've ran a stock clutch, and now a Centerforce.
-Centerforce hands down. It even takes less pressure to push down the clutch!

I ran the Dual Friction as well and it was great.
Not sure what's in my car now, but when it goes I'll probably go with a SPEC stage 1 or 2 clutch kit.

I run the old style Z bar linkage, and the clutch is easier to push in than it was with the stock one, and not just by a little.
Maybe it doesn't make a diff. with hyd. assist clutch....
anyways, it's holding 490 ftlbs of torque and hasn't slipped yet. nuff said!

Wow I feel like the oddball here. I am running a RAM Powergrip clutch. I suppose it is OK. Sometimes it chatters a bit, the pedal is slightly stiffer than stock which I dont mind, but dang does this thing bite super hard. I have an aftermarket radio in my car and the WOT powershifts caused the radio to break out of its mounting kit. Now when I grag a gear with authority it slides down and my CDs skip! Anyway despite the mild chatter and grabbyness when taking off, this clutch has put up with a ton of abuse from me slipping it and dumping it at 5000rpm trying to launch my car at the track. After all the abuse it still works like it did when I put it in.

Zoom Dual Friction. Has stock feel and grips great. I have done many 3500-4000 rpm dumps on DR and it doesnt slip.
