TransGo Shift Kit = Bad Mileage?
It seems that ever since I installed my T-Go shift kit, I have been getting crappy mileage, about 13mpg to be exact. I know for a fact I was getting at least 18mpg before I did the shift kit. Now, I know that bad mileage can come from a number of different things, but my car has been running great since the swap, I've got no vacuum leaks, filters clean, etc.
Could the fact that I am hanging in each gear longer be the reason that I have dropped 5mpg? I find it pretty hard to get into overdrive like I used to (I understand that this was one of the reasons for the kit) but I don't think that this would reduce my mileage THAT much...
Any ideas?

mileage
My IROC has a B&M Transpak in it with the hard shift kit in it. My mileage went down a little, but I've still been getting 18-20 mpg easy. Its only a 305, but I'm not nice with it at all. It does **** me off when the tranny "hunts" around between o/d and 3rd though. My o/d Dodge ram tranny does it too, I think its a o/d tranny thing, not just a shift kit thing.
I think because you ride in gear longer and because its fun to get it sideways when it shifts you lose some more mileage though, lol. I'd give the motor a tune up if its been awhile (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil change) Check your kickdown cable adjustment too, it controls the shifts on a 700-R. If tranny shifts too early/too late it can affect mileage and even fry the tranny.

Well, I adjusted the kickdown cable until it was tight, plugs and wires are new, oil is good, but cap and rotor...idk, I doubt it would take a dump that easily. But I mean, I have been making it a thing to keep my rpms below 2000 whenever I can you know? Sure, I have a good time with it and take her to WOT here and there but I always did that you know?

Thats whats strange, if anything, my habits have been better since the gas spike ::scratches head::
I'll check elsewhere, I wanted to put in a new fuel filter, but the one that is in there is rusted at the fittings, so I dont want to snap them off =(. I'll check around though
